Michele `s In-Law`s Nebraska Corn and Beef Supper recipe and books

Michele `s In-Law`s Nebraska Corn and Beef Supper

2 cans cream of chicken soup
1 can cream of mushroom soup
1 can water
1 T. Worchestershire sauce
1/3 cup flour
2 lbs round steak, cut into bite-sized pieces
1 medium onion, sliced
1 bay leaf
3 tubes of refrigerated
biscuits
1 15-16 oz. can of kernel corn

Combine cream of chicken soup, cream of mushroom soup,
water and Worchestershire sauce. Set aside.

Place meat in the bottom of a 9" x 12" baking dish.
Cover with slices of onion and the bay leaf. Cover
evenly with soup mixture and bake at 300F for 2
hours.

Towards the end of this baking time, take 1/2 the
dough from the biscuits and spread on counter. Drain
corn and spread on top of biscuit dough. Cover with
remaining 1/2 of dough and seal.

Remove casserole from oven and remove bay leaf. Place
biscuit/corn "sandwich" on top of meat mixture and
bake at 350F an additional 25 minutes.
